Some say all good things come to an end…I say all good things move on to be enjoyed by others. In September, I sold the Vanagon on BringaTrailer.com. The winning bid came from a person in Southern California. He has a young family and is looking to make use of the camper. He was excited to be the winning bid and I was excited to see the van go to a good home.
It is fun to reflect on the start and end for me. When I purchased the van it was a solid, well-cared-for vehicle. My time went into replacing parts that tend to fail and upgrading the camper.
Stainless steel coolant lines, aluminum coolant pressure tank, rear disc brakes, and new CVs are part of the upgrades to the van. A TruckFridge, Propex heater, awning, and enhanced house electrical system are some of the upgrades to the camper.
So as the Vanagon loaded for the trip south to the new owner…I start considering my options for the next project. Stay tuned.
