I have never been a big fan of the stock steering wheel Volkswagen used in the late model bugs and Karmann Ghias…so to compliment the dash refresh, I replaced the steering wheel. For this I am using a 14 inch Volante S6 steering wheel with leather grip. The center and spokes are black anodized metal that fits with the color of the dash. Using the appropriate adapter kit, it was easy to change the steering wheel without any modification to the steering column. The stock steering wheel goes into the box of spare parts that will be included when, at some point, I sell the Karmann Ghia.
