The Karmann Ghia has a set of stock wheels, with the original grey paint and chrome hub caps. I have been considering a number of options to change up the wheels and finally decided to use the stock wheels with fresh paint and a set of Empi beauty rings. Since the interior color is dark brown I decided to paint the wheels to match. I am pleased with the results.

Before and after…
I do like the look of the painted wheels with the rings but I decided it was not sporty enough. After looking at dozens and dozens of pictures of Karmann Ghias, I decided that the Empi style 8 spoke wheel was a nice look. I sourced polished wheels from California Import Parts.
